Guadalajara province

A beautiful province located in the northeastern part of the Autonomous Community of Castilla la Mancha to the north of Alcala de Henares, this province is filled with many routes along which the visitor can escape to tranquil lakes, bustling towns and world-class rural hotels.

The province has had a typically Spanish historical development.

During the Spanish Civil War the city was extensively bombarded and, as a result, large parts of it have been rebuilt.

The Civil War of last century was just the latest to have wracked the province over the centuries.

However, despite its size, the province of Guadalajara is a reflection of its historic past and offers many beautiful attractions to visitors.
