Bagà, on the edge of the natural parklands of Cadí-Moixeró is an excellent example of a well preserved medieval village that still preserves original 13th century structures. Reminders of ancient customs are everywhere conserved from a section of the original wall that protected its inhabitants from marauding armies to a byzantine cross that dates from the 11th century.
Monserrat, sacred mountain and privileged natural surroundings rises saw tooth against the Barcelona skyline. This unique limestone massif has been pounded by rain and storms for centuries and has formed a natural preserve that has, for centuries, been a place of worship and pilgrimage.
