Badajoz Province

Bordering Portugal, Badajoz has been one of the historical hot-spots of Spain. Firstly the Moors and Christians faced off in this region for many hundreds of years; Badajoz was frontier territory between two nations separated by a chasm of culture.

Later the region was the buffer zone between warring Portuguese and Spanish armies; the killing grounds of Independence.
